$5,500 - $7,500 for the adoption of one child.
        Child age 3 and up, at the time of referral, is $5500, Child under age 3 is $7500
$2,500 per child for any additional siblings adopted at the same time. OR
$3,000 per child for non-related children adopted at the same time.
Grants may be available for special needs children.

Your state authentication for one document. Varies state by state.

Travel Costs Airfare varies, approximately $1,600 per person or up; food and lodging ranges $150 per day based on about three to four days.

In Ethiopia, $400 per child is charged by the U.S. embassy for your child's U.S. visa.

Ongoing Post Placement Reporting
Two post-placement reports are required by a social worker the first year the child is home.
